Shipping Policy

SHIPPING CHARGES: Continental US Shipping Only

The Bella Cottage Shipping Chart

These rates apply to the Continental US only. Shipping outside the Continental US is also available. For shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada there is an added charge. Call or email for details.

Shipping for our accessories and smaller home decor items are shipped FedEx Ground unless otherwise noted. Items shipped directly from our manufacturers may use a different carrier. Please call for more information.

Shipping surcharges may apply to special items that require additional shipping services. (This applies to fragile items, large accessories or items from international vendors.) We apply a shipping surcharge in addition to our regular shipping costs. Surcharge fee will be noted in the "Order Review" prior to submitting your order. Once the order is submitted you will be charged and agree to these fees.

International Shipping Options

Option One
Upon checkout, our international customers are NOT charged shipping when their orders are placed. They will be contacted by one of our represenatives shortly after their order is placed with a shipping quote and shipping costs will be charged serparately. Using this method, we will ship only via USPS.

Option Two
Our international customers also have the option of shipping through Bongo International Services. Bongo International provides its customers with their very own US address (not a P.O. Box). Once you have a US address, you will be able to make purchases at our website as well as other US based online retailers. Bongo receives your purchases and logs them into their online system where you can consolidate them with other orders.

This process saves international customers up to 82% off typical international shipping rates.

Step-By-Step Order Guide

 1. Shop for your items on our website and add them to your cart.
2. Setup your Bongo International account by clicking the Bongo Checkout button.
3. After signup, Bongo will provide you with your very own US address.
4. Back at our website, proceed to Checkout.
5. Enter your new US address supplied by Bongo as both your BILLING & SHIPPING Address.
6. Use the credit card that you have on file with Bongo as the payment method -- No Exceptions.
7. Choose your shipping method and Place Order.
8. Once completed, finish your verification process with Bongo.
9. Bongo will take over from here, so communicate directly with them for delivery of your order via online chat or email.

SHIPPING: Large Items, Bella Furniture & One-of-A-Kinds

For large items, we apply a shipping surcharge in addition to our regular shipping costs. Surcharge fee will be noted in the "Order Review" prior to submitting your order. Once the order is submitted you will be charged and agree to these fees.

We ship blanket wrap via Plycon, unless otherwise specified and arranged by you. You have the option of using your preferred shipping company.

We ship to both residential and business, but residential deliveries, especially to remote locations, may result in additional charges.

Shipping charges are for curbside delivery only! Inside delivery is available upon request and will incur additional fees.

We are not responsible for miscommunication between freight carrier and consignee (recipient).

Please inspect your furniture thoroughly immediately upon receiving them and note any damage incurred to the driver.

Prior to purchasing, please ask questions before committing to your order! We want you to be confident and happy with your purchase!

Delivery discrepancies, damages, and freight charges are the sole responsibility of the freight carrier once the merchandise has been accepted and left our facilities.

Shipments are sent freight collect unless arrangements have been made for prepay.

All prices are subject to change without notice.

All dimensions are approximate to within one inch.

PICK UP from our location is available with no additional charge. Item MUST be in stock. Some items are not exclusively made by The Bella Cottage --please call prior to pick-up to verify.

If your piece incurs damages during transit, the freight company will be responsible for having the piece repaired and returned to the manufacturer's standards at their own expense. Your item will be sent to a furniture medic or back to the manufacturer for repairs.

 

DAMAGES & CLAIMS FOR LARGE ITEM ORDERS: Furniture, Custom Orders & One-of-A-Kinds

 Damages sustained in transit are the sole responsibility of the freight carrier.

If packaged item is dented, opened, punctured, or looks as if damages may have occurred during transit, please examine in the presence of the driver.

All damages must be noted on freight bill at the time of delivery and taken up with the carrier immediately. DO NOT SIGN bill until items have been inspected!

Notate any visibly damaged cartons, or shortages directly on the bill of landing and keep all packing materials.

After item has been accepted by customer, we no longer assume responsibility for the item.

Our furniture, One-of-a-kind and vintage pieces are inspected prior to shipping and is accepted by the carrier in good condition.

Once carrier has accepted freight, our responsibility ends.

No returns will be accepted for any of our one-of-a-kind items or custom orders.

 

DAMAGES & CLAIMS FOR SMALLER ITEMS & PACKAGES

 Damages sustained in transit are the sole responsibility of the freight carrier.

If packaged item is dented, opened, punctured, or looks as if damages may have occurred during transit, please examine in the presence of the driver.

All damages must be noted and taken up with the carrier immediately.

Notate any visibly damaged and keep all packing materials.

A claim will have to be filed with the shipping company.

After item has been accepted by customer, we no longer assume responsibility for the item.

We do not accept responsibility for damaged or lost items during transit.

 

Measuring for Furniture

It is very important to measure correctly and carefully when ordering furniture from The Bella Cottage! The measurements are listed for our furniture items but please take into consideration the dimensions for doorways, entryways and spaces with banisters or corners. Take into account any obstructions that may hinder you from getting your furniture into place!

Delivery Times

We make every effort to get our items to you on time. Items that we have in stock will ship out within 2 business days unless otherwise noted. However other items are shipped from our artists and may take 2-3 weeks for delivery if the item is custom & handmade. Please note that our shipping dates are estimated and cannot be guaranteed. Occasionally issues arise that are beyond our control which require longer production times. If this is the case, you will be notified promptly.

Backorders


If an item you order is backordered, please note that a new shipment is expected soon and your order will ship immediately. You will receive a notice for the expected date of delivery. If you do not want to wait until the due date, you may cancel the order and your card will not be charged.
