RETURNS & EXCHANGES

At The Bella Cottage, we stand behind the quality of our products and will make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase. We believe that we can work together with our customers to make every purchase a positive experience. Our shipments are carefully inspected before leaving our warehouse, but in the event you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply follow the instructions below. Refunds are issued in the original payment form and price, less shipping and handling, restocking fees, and return shipping charges. If you wish to cancel your order, please notify us within 24 hours of placing it. If more than 24 hours have passed, then our return policies apply. 

Non-Eligible Items For Return

Many of our pieces are one-of-a-kind and non-returnable. All furniture, custom made to order items, lighting, and final sale items are not eligible for returns. Select brands are also not returnable. Click here for a list of brands that are non-returnable.

Eligible Items For Return

We gladly accept any eligible returns or exchanges within 15 days of purchase. Items must be returned unused and in the original packaging. Returns are subject to shipping and restocking fees. Eligible items for returns include:

• Bella Cottage Brands: Bella Cottage branded items including appliques, Bella Pets, and Create It Yourself are eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 15 days of receipt. Return shipping charges will apply, even for free shipping items.

• Dash & Albert: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 10 days of receipt. There will be a 25% restocking fee for any returns. Return shipping charges will apply, even for free shipping items.

• Pom Pom at Home: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 15 days of receipt. There will be a 15% restocking fee for any returns. Return and original shipping charges will apply. See the chart above for shipping costs.

• French Home Accessories: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 15 days of receipt. There will be a 15% restocking fee for any returns. Return shipping charges will apply. See the chart above for shipping costs.

• Fabry Designs, Feather Mum, Iron Designs, Lilly Catherine, Masterpiece Pillows, Peacock Designs, & Sherwood Designs (excluding lighting): Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 15 days of receipt. • Lux Vanity Collection: Eligible for returns or exchanges, in original condition, within 15 days of receipt. There will be a 15% restocking fee for any returns. Return shipping charges will apply. See the chart above for shipping costs.

Returns on Free Shipping Items

Several of our product lines offer free shipping. If for any reason you need to return an item with free shipping, your refund will be issued in the original payment form and price, minus standard shipping fees (see shipping chart), restocking fees, and return shipping charges. Standard shipping costs are based on item prices as outlined within our shipping policy. If you opt to exchange your free shipping purchase for another item that also had free shipping, a standard shipping charge will be added to cover our costs.

Initiate a Return

If you would like to exchange or return an eligible item purchased in the last 30 days, you will need to request a Return Authorization (RA) number.

  1. Login to your account and locate your order number, clicking on the "Details" button to review the order.

  2. Contact us by phone or email at info@thebellacottage.com. Have your order number handy and please let us know the reason for the return or exchange.

  3. Allow 10-12 days to process the refund back to your original method of payment. Refunds are issued in the original payment form and price, minus shipping and handling, restocking fees, and return shipping charges.
