Shopping at The Bella Cottage

Using the Shopping Cart

Shopping at The Bella Cottage is very simple and very secure! Browse through out site and find the items you love. Our online store is open 24/7Select the appropriate size, colors and other necessary options. Select the Add To Cart button and the item is placed into your shopping cart automatically. Some items may have additional shipping charges due to their size, weight or special handling. These fees ensure that your item is packaged safely and arrives to you in perfect condition. Additional fees will be noted.
If you wish to shop more, select the Continue Shopping button.

Once all your desired items are in your shopping cart, you may select your Shopping Cart button and proceed to Checkout. Next, you can choose to either Sign In if you already have a registered account with The Bella Cottage or continue shopping as a guest. Once you have made your choice, you will be required to fill out a series of forms with your shipping, billing and personal contact information. After you complete these forms, complete your order and you're done!

An e-mail version of this summary will be delivered to the e-mail address you have provided. We suggest you print this out for your records. All credit card transactions and confidential information are verified and protected by Authorize.Net, one of the industry leaders in SSL encryption.

Note that your credit card will be charged at the time of checkout for all items in your shopping cart. If you receive notice that an item or items are backordered, you can opt to cancel the order and your card will be immediately refunded.

Registering for an account with The Bella Cottage makes your online shopping experience faster and easier! Your information will be securely stored with us so you will not have to enter it every time you order! You will also be able to login to your account and check the status of your orders and you will be able to review your order history.

Just click on the "My Account" link at the top of the page to get started. Also, by registering with us, you can subscribe to our Bella Cottage Mailing List to stay updated with our latest items and special sales! You will always have the option to opt out of our mailing list by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every mailing.

Measuring for Furniture
It is very important to measure correctly and carefully when ordering furniture from The Bella Cottage! The measurements are listed for our furniture items but please take into consideration the dimensions for doorways, entryways and spaces with banisters or corners. Take into account any obstructions that may hinder you from getting your furniture into place!

Delivery Times
We make every effort to get our items to you on time. Items that we have in stock will ship out within 2 business days unless otherwise noted. However other items are shipped from our artists and may take 2-3 weeks for delivery if the item is custom & handmade. Please note that our shipping dates are estimated and cannot be guaranteed. Occasionally issues arise that are beyond our control which require longer production times. If this is the case, you will be notified promptly.

Backorders
If an item you order is backordered, please note that a new shipment is expected soon and your order will ship immediately. You will receive a notice for the expected date of delivery. If you do not want to wait until the due date, you may cancel the order and your card will not be charged.
Payment Options 

Forms of Payment Accepted
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Your card will be charged as soon as your order is placed.

Sales tax
We charge 8.25% sales tax to orders shipped to California.

Coupons
We advertise limited time coupon codes. To redeem a coupon, please enter the code provided into the specified box at the bottom of the shopping cart page. Note that coupons can not be used towards the purchase of sale items and may not be combined or used in multiples on an order.
Return Policy
For the following items: Bella/Custom Furniture, One-of-A-Kinds, Bella Finds, Bedding, Cut Yardage & Clearance Items, we do not accept returns. Because these items are either vintage, one of a kind or made to order, they do not qualify for returns. If you are uncertain if an item is vintage or custom made, please call to verify. When your item is shipped to you, please inspect them carefully and report any damages incurred during shipment directly to the shipper and contact us immediately. A claim will have to be filed with the shipping company. We do not take responsibility for damaged or lost items. Please contact us prior to ordering to ensure that you are happy with your order.

If for any reason your custom order does not arrive according to your specifications, please contact us immediately.

If your piece incurrs damages during transit, the freight company will be responsible for having the peice repaired and returned to the manufacturer's standards at their own expense. Your item will be sent to a furniture medic or back to the manufacturer for repairs.

For IN-STOCK accessories, home decor & hardware, we accept returns but you must contact us for an RMA# prior to return. Please DO NOT send your packages to us without an RMA# for they will NOT be accepted. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee (from item costs). Shipping charges are non-refundable. Items MUST be returned in the original state from which they left our facilities within 10 days of receipt. Any damaged, used or opened items will not be accepted. Returned items will be given store credit only.
